Anakin had gotten a later start than he'd planned out of Fandom and had driven two different cab drivers nuts with his back seat comments on their ineptitude in moving quickly enough to suit him, but now he was finally in New Haven and knocking on Rory's door.

With a bouquet of roses behind his back. How staggeringly original of him.

Rory opened the door, beaming.

And then less with the beaming and more with the jumping up to wrap her arms around his neck and kissing him.

Anakin wrapped his free arm around her waist and returned the kiss. "So you didn't miss me at all, huh?" he teased when he finally remembered breathing was important.
