Are Darlton saying it wasn't a filler ep? Maybe not completely, but I'd have to say it was somewhat. But they can't really afford them now. Another friend of mine said she was glad they got the Kate ep out of the way early. I agree!

It struck me as rather immature.

You're right, the episode wasn't total filler. But too much of it was. And I definitely agree with your friend's sentiment!
