Oh my goodness, this is so beautiful!

"that someday she would take Fred away from him"

What a great, heartbreaking line!

You know, me and my bets friend recently had to deal with this very situation. We've been inseperable for about eleven or twelve years now and we've never had anything really come between us. We both knew eventually one of us would get *really* serious about a guy...but it was always something that would happen in the future. But Whitney (my bff) met that "love of her life" last year and it was just as this is written. It was really tough being faced with the knowledge that someone had finally come along to take her away from me.

Thank you so much for this drabble! :D -worships your mad drabble skillz-

Thank you! I didn't know you liked Harry Potter too. :)

I'm very glad it felt real. It was never the opposite sex that I felt was really taking my friends away from me, but I guess it doesn't really matter what it is. You still feel that kind of irrational loss.

YES, MORE HP FIC! I'm so glad somebody requested it! I liked this. I thought it described the feelings of "first love-jealousy", as I'll call it, really well. I could definitely sympathize with George. Although only to an extent, I wonder if it (or how much) harder this is for siblings let alone twins? I was an only child still at this age, so I only had my friends to be jealous of.

Hee, I've been on kind of a Lost extravaganza lately.

Thanks so much! Glad you liked it. :)

I'm the elder sibling (and I dated more than my sister), so I'm not really sure how it feels either. I tried to channel how I sometimes felt about my friends getting interested in other stuff, or making new friends.

Yea, I'm the oldest sibling by far. As in, I'm 21 and my sisters are 8 and 5!!! So I definitely have no idea what sibling rivalry and jealousy over stuff like that is really like. So for me your "channeling" was successful. I'd be curious to know what people who do have close siblings and were not the ones who dated more and whatever think of this drabble.

Oh, thank you, I like it a lot! It doesn't look slashy to me. I think it's normal for brothers who spent 13 years together to feel a little weird about this "I-have-a-private-life" thing at first.
And thanks again for posting this today, on twin's birthday :)

I will certainly read all your Lost fics too. But later - now I just finished watching the first season, and I don't want spoilers.
