Oh, excellent question! I'd forgotten the 'real name' bit. I'm still uncertain. She also claimed to be his wife, didn't she? And that's kind of creepy now that we know that she gestated in the TARDIS and is the daughter of two of the Doctor's companions! I mean, that would be like me getting involved with one of my dad's colleagues, or my daughter getting involved with one of mine, or one of my grad students . . . ew!
In other words, I don't know. I'm still absorbing the whole idea that River is the daughter of the woman who threw herself at the Doctor the night before her wedding, and also the daughter of the man that woman did actually marry.
Thanks for the spoiler warning. Someone I won't name (because I've abused him once already in the last 24 hours or so) blew it the very issue of River's parentage. Now, of course, I've seen the episode, but someone put up something similar without an LJ cut to save my eyes. I've given him a hard time for it ever since. flounces away
I think they've always hinted around her being his wife, but it's never been confirmed. Amy, and perhaps Donna asked and conjectured. The Doctor's always avoided the answer. And River's always given a knowing smile. I think you may be thinking of the season finale last year when she said yes to several questions, but I'm not quite sure if she was giving direct answers, or being infuriatingly ambiguous.
I don't think Amy was in love with the Doctor. I think she was reacting to life-risking craziness and cold feet/last flingnessness. She did say she wasn't looking for something that long-term. I also think Amy's a bit more growed up since then, and sharing adventures with Rory has altered her too. He's more than the guy who's always been there for her--and now she appreciates what that means.
Re the spoilering: OOOH! How mean! I had a friend spoil me about Luke & Leia back in the day, and I'm still not certain I've forgiven her.
The kiss (his first with her, her last with him--wow time travel is confusing) would seem to imply that there was something between them. I'm still inclined to think that it was that something more that led to River knowing his name. But your question is an intriguing one.
I am anxious to see how it all comes together. The last couple of episodes certainly cast everything in a whole different light.

I wish I could rewatch Silence at the Library though. I mean it's all so different now.
