Um, I've been a very similair situation.

There really isn't much you can do, and I found the best solution for me was to stay completely out of it. Being stuck in that situation can only get worse. Watching from the side lines is hard, getting stuck in the middle is worse.

*groan* this is why I try to stay out of it, but i know how much harder that is said than done. although most of my friends now know that I am a relationship advice free zone. as I grow older I become less and less afraid just to turn round to them and say "I am your friend, not your counsellor, it's none of my business" (see Senjy can sometimes do bad arse).

I have no advice to give other than try to ignore what's going on. in my experience friends will understand you reticence if they in turn care about you. mine understand my stance and let me be. of course it means that there is always tonnes of gossip that I don't get told because of that XD

::shakes head:: Just cross your fingers she never finds out you knew she was being dumped before she did (or the other stuff!) other than that, there isn't too much else you can do, apart from trying to undig your way into the situation to begin with! Gotta love life, huh?
