Thank you! And I for one think that everyone should have a snug angora sweater (and, if possible, a Sherlock). I think I put all of my sillies and cutes into this one fiction. Probably means that whatever I write next will likely be very dark and smutty. ;)

Oh I agree.
Can I have a fuzzy myself? and can I have the john to go with it?

I have to say your icon looks exactly like my cat, down to that semi glare.

Ha. That would be the "you are slashing them AGAIN, aren't you... Just feed me already and I will leave me in peace!" look. Tee hee.

I love Otter John too. Had some doubts as to whether it was wise to switch animals, cat to otter, but after reading about river otters and holts in England I couldn't not do it. Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful words--very encouraging. :)

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed my fluffy story. It was fun to write Sherlock getting what he wanted--a soft petable tummy.

It was a little disconnect going into John's dreams, but it was soo cute and squishy that I fell in love right away.
Otters and cats are so alike anyway.

Understand your point about the disconnectedness. I didn't want to have a dubcon vibe--Sherlock did this and John, although asleep, was into it--so I took Sherlock (in human form) out of the picture. Probably could have transitioned into the dream more smoothly. Glad you were willing and able to make the leap to Otter Land anyway. :)

I don't see a "post New comment" button so I have to post my comment as a reply, tho I'm not actually replying to the above comment, sorry bout that. My browser might be funky. Onto the comment: What a beautiful depiction this story is of the potential depth and breadth of platonic love. I think people tend to underestimate platonic love, but it can inspire the same devotion and "soulmateness" as romantic love, just without the physical sexual desire. I think you've captured that perfectly here. I also love otter John and Sherlock. I personally didn't find the animal change jarring. S is a cat person, so he anthropomorphized a cat as John, and John is an otter person, :-) so the same applies. I wish I had someone to snuggle with! :-)

You are not the first person to say that my comment button is hard to find. Will look again for a better layout. Apologies, and thank you for being willing to work around it.
Also, what a wonderfully thoughtful and detailed review. Wow!
While I'm a John/Sherlock slasher at heart, I really feel that their friendship, deep as it is, is the undisputed basis of their connection. I'm extremely pleased you thought this story captured it, as that was my hope.
Also glad the change from cats to otters didn't bother you. I don't write many long pieces, and I do worry that my jumps from vignette to vignette aren't always smooth.
Again, thanks for your patience and your kind words. They mean a lot! :)
