[Tonks is currently sitting outside building 3, knees drawn to her chest. Passersby might notice that she appears to be concentrating intently at the ground around her feet.

Every so often, someone may notice something about her... change. Her bubblegum pink hair switches to neon green, icy blue, or fiery red. Or her nose suddenly becomes larger

[Remus slips through the door behind her, looking weary - he'd chosen a room to fortify for the full moon, and with this damper on their magic, it took more power, more time, and he'll add more layers of protection later - but he's smiling faintly as he looks down at her]

[The full moon isn't for weeks yet, Remus. Hey, she checked! Not that she can blame him for making plans already - they have to assume they'll be here for it and figure out how to make it work, so she won't chastise him for it. Much. She takes in his appearance and returns the smile.]

It's tougher to do here. I thought at first it was just because I'd been unconscious for a while, that it would get easier. But it's not getting easier.

he nods, settling down beside her; his wand is in his sleeve, for the moment]

I thought the same thing - it makes sense, I suppose, our captors won't want us too powerful. Or it may just be a handy effect of the changed environment...

Whatever it is, it's bloody annoying. What else am I going to do here besides make faces and practice my defensive magic?

[She pauses in thought for a moment, then grins a little. The sort of grin Remus knows means she's up to no good.]

[Instead of ask, there's just a little girl off to your side, watching this with total fascination.]

[She doesn't notice she has company right away; she's really concentrating hard. But after a few minutes her training kicks in and she feels the eyes on the back of her neck. Swiveling around, she spots the girl and gives her a smile.]

Wotcher! I'm Tonks. What's your name?

[Whoops, spotted. Eiko will just walk over so she doesn't look like some creepy stalker, but still kind of staring.]

...Eiko.

Eiko... That's a unique name! Well, where I'm from it would be. I like it.

So, Eiko... What sort of animal do you like? I've got several I'm very good at and a few more I can give a fair shot at.

[Terra nearly passes by, cradling a stack of textbooks in her arms...though catches sight of a hair change just before that happens. She pauses and stares, watching with great interest.]

[Pauses when she sees someone stopped and facing in her direction. Looks up and gives the new person a little wave.]

Wotcher! You look like you must know Hermione, judging from all those books you've got.

[esper_flight]

[She looks immediately self-conscious but smiles a bit at mention of Hermione.]

Hermione's tutoring me, actually.

...I've never seen anyone be able to change like that. How do you do it?

[Tonks has to stifle a laugh.]

Of course she is.

It's magic. I'm a Metamorphmagus. It's really rare, even where I come from I'm the only one I know of.

[auror_dora]

[Tonks is used to attracting attention; she takes it all in stride and gives this newcomer a smile, still sporting a catlike nose.]

Any requests? I'm Tonks, by the way.

I can do that!

[Give her a couple minutes, and soon her nose has elongated into what is unmistakably a dog's muzzle.]

[Alys is out for a jog and nearly passes by entirely... until a sudden change in hair color makes her stop and do a double take.]

[Tonks catches her eye and waves, tossing her now waist-length red hair behind her shoulder.]

Wotcher! I'm Tonks.

[Alys walks over a bit to speak to her, initially appearing a bit confused because she's never heard the word 'wotcher' before.]

Hello, Tonks. I'm Alys.

Sorry if that was a bit rude, I was kind of surprised. That's some sort of magic, isn't it?

's all right, I'm used to being stared at. I'm a bit of a freak even where I come from. It's magic, yeah. I was born with it. Everyone I know can do magic but I'm the only one who can do this.
