part 3. Jacob and MIB (referrred to as Esau still) figthing over Richard (AU)greedyslayerAugust 31 2010, 06:17:18 UTC
As they traveled through the woods, the children kept close to him, Jacob and Esau on either side of him. The two kept asking him questions and watching him with awe--but soon they began arguing over his attention, and had even started tugging him in their direction at some points, shooting the other brother a glare. Richard had just felt dazed by an insane, twisted deja vu.
Why was it him? Why was it always him these two so intensely fought over? It had gotten to a point where Richard felt distinctly higher than a pawn in Jacob and Esau's eyes--and it wasn't a very pleasant feeling. More like having two wolves fighting over the same bone.
Even as children, they treated him as a plaything to rage and snipe over....
Perhaps this was why they fixated on him? Had it all started as just a chilhood game that had turned wildly perverted in the future

Woah, this is such an awesome mindfuck! So original, and I love love love time travel, so this was extra exciting. OMG. I love how everything goes in a circle that they'll never escape and just keep replaying. Brilliant.

This plotbunny's been on my mind for a while; it's nice to do a snippet of it for you, especially since you liked it. :)
I love how everything goes in a circle that they'll never escape and just keep replaying.
The sorta optimist in me says that once they're past the time loop, circle, things will change a little and move slightly forward? Like, I guess with this mini continuity, Richard's there, he goes back, and it leads into that...but it seems to me in my time travel meta there has to come a point where they stop going in circles and are able to move beyond that and forward.
