This is top-notch. It's a great blending of both viewpoints, both of them so cast out from what their lives had become and both trying to struggle back to some semblance of normalcy. : )

Thank you so much! The second I started thinking about them, the more similarities rolled out. Thank you so much for reading and for the lovely comment!

I know absolutely nothing about Lost (I had to google Claire Littleton to get a visual) but this is a beautiful little piece. So bittersweet; I love Nathan and Claire's interaction and their, effectively, shared experiences.

(One typo thing. Claire says "Thanks, but the way." I think you mean "by?" :))

Wow, I'm so excited you still liked it even though you've never watched Lost. That's the best compliment for a crossover ever. :) They really have a lot in common, or at least peripherally in common, poor things. Thanks so much for reading!

Oh my God, oh my God, OH MY GOD! You are my favoritefavoritefavorite person in the whole wide world right now, and this fic is awesome-wonderful-perfect and I wish I had the time to go into detail and do this fic justice with a decent comment. Just know that I love this to pieces. I will definitely be back with a longer comment later. OMG! Thank you so much! ♥♥♥

YAY! I'm so glad this worked for you! I was really nervous. It was super fun thinking about all the ways I could tie these two together. *hugs Nathan* Now back to working on the OTHER Nathan crossover that's coming your way (not by me)...

Finally back with a real comment. Sorry it took me so long. *facepalm*

Again: I love this fic. I'm going to re-read this so often, you don't even know. God. So perfect. I feel like flailing and squeeing and capslocking and keyboard-smashing, really. Just. This fic. You are so brilliant. What a crossover! Amazing.

I love the setting, how they meet, love both of their voices and their interaction and similarities and the comfort they find in each other's company and ... everything else. I absolutely love the entire piece. You paint such a sad yet realistic picture of Claire's post-island life, and drunk!bearded!Nathan will never not break my heart. Sidenote: I also really, really love the Miles/Richard! (Heh.)

Nothing’s changed. Despite their kind words and good intentions, people still barely notice whether or not she’s missing. This ( ... )

Late reply is ridiculously late! I'm going through my huge backlog of comments that I built up during the xover_exchange, the holidays, and then my Inception Big Bang.

Anyway, THANK YOU! I am so happy you liked this. I had such an interesting time writing it. They're so random, but when I saw the characters you liked and remembered you loved screwed-up/slightly incestuous family dynamics, I really started thinking about them, the parallels and potential connections just kept going and going. It was crazy!

Bearded!Drunk!Nathan will always be heartbreaking. I love him so much.

Thank you so much! It started out as just a name similarity and then somehow just took off of its own accord... :)
