Mmm, you know what's good for a Wednesday afternoon? Coffee and Fry's Turkish Delight! There's a little newsagency under the ManuLife Centre that sells them - sadly not Australian Cadbury's, but British. Still, can't complain!!

it snows here! A glass house is not the best idea!
Funny you should say that. We had the most epic hailstorm here in Melbourne a while ago. It looked like it'd been snowing. There were two broken windows at my place alone, and thousands of cars got written off because of dents on the top. I can't imagine coping with that on a regular basis.

Oh wow, that sounds bad! I've never seen a hailstorm that bad. The ones we got in Tassie, the hail looked like sago :) Hope your insurance covers the windows!

I suppose that explains why a lot of tourists are fascinated with our beaches and coastlines, and makes you appreciate what we have even more!

Oh definitely! I'd love to move to The Beaches - if I must live in TO, I'd like to live somewhere like that! Where we are now is next best so it's not too bad. I liked living so close to the beach in Elwood though :)

I think that if you have to live in Melbourne, then close to the bay is the best way to go (although Jane's apartment in the city is pretty damn good!!). We've told Renee to look for a place in the Elwood area too - if she ever gets there!

It all looks a little quiet at the beach (or is it beaches?) I think in Australia there'd be people everywhere as soon as the sun shone! still ... a nice day out for you both!

Very nice beach indeed! Never doubt that leaves will come soon with 28 degrees. We have nice sunshine in Moscow too, no snow already, but the ponds are still full of ice.
