You've done a good job in this chapter dealing with the survivor grief. The pacing is excellent, moving toward physical action just as the tension from Xander and Andrew's interaction is fading.

I didn't want to ignore the grief but I didn't want to go overboard with it either. It's something I've gone through myself, writing about it was a little cathartic.
