A full week

So this past week has been busy, we helped move friends into their first house which was pretty exciting. Then we celebrated 9 years of marriage (sort of, at least we were together!)And the next morning Mike had his surgery. He has 12 staples down the front of his right leg. I wish that they had used sutures...the staples look pretty brutal.Mike

1. why did Mike need surgery? (glad to hear he's doing well)

2. why did you cut your hair? Can we see pictures? I remember when my hair was that short- I loved it! :)

1. Mike has compartment tunnel syndrome. The muscle casings in his legs no longer expand, so when he exercises and the muscles warm up and expand there is incredible pressure (pain) and impeded blood flow (feet fall asleep). So they cut open his leg to open up the casings and then stapled the skin back up. They only did his right leg to see how it goes and will try to do the other leg in August. He is off on 10 days sick leave, but is due to go back to work on Monday.

2. I cut my hair because it is pretty thin and wispy. I like the short do - no longer bits of stray hair blowing in my face! I will try to get a good picture after today - today it is getting coloured!

3. We miss you very much as well. Eileen was talking about Warcamp just yesterday. She misses those days! As do we all.
