I'm sure you're all wondering "What's going on in Emily's life these days?" Well, here it is: Teaching and Certamen.

So, the Certamen teams have had 2 out of the 4 competitions before States. (The other 2 being this Thurs., April 8 and this Sat., April 10.)

At the BU Certamen, we placed 3rd and 5th in the Upper division and 3rd in the Lower ( Read more... )

Hooray for you and your kids! I'm so proud of you guys and all you've accomplished - your kids for being so smart and dedicated, and you for putting all this work into making sure you're all taken as seriously as you deserve to be.

I know, isn't it amazing? My kids are *so* incredible, and I'm just so glad we are finally taken as seriously as we deserve to be!

I am so glad that you stuck with this and fought the administration to get to this point. Students who prefer books to athletic competition or music or drama need to know that they can still compete and have fun with their book smarts.
