I have a stripe in my hair. ^^ I thought the dye would be red and freaked out when I discovered the dye was actually bleach, and it was BLONDE

Heh, I saw Rent for the very first time a few days ago. The embassy doctor, Caroline, lent it to me on DVD. SO COOL. I love the songs. Musicals are great. Hmm...Aura, have you seen lor read much other existentialist theatre? Waiting for Godot? Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead? Death of a Salesman? Master Harold and the Boys? You might really enjoy those if you like the existentialist themes of Rent. I'm a bit of an existentialist myself. Funny what you said in that last sentence; I feel the same way. When I was younger, I could put on the act of innocence/ignorance and wouldn't be noticed too much, wouldn't be expected to be diplomatic or polite or hold up a conversation if I didn't want to. That doesn't work any more. Innocence is a powerful tool, especially if you only /appear/ innocent. I still often want to be 5 years old so I don't have to be responsible for my actions...
<3 Someone made the mistake of lending me Rent in April or so, and I watched it over and over, I just couldn't stop. XD I haven't really been into musicals that much, but that one really struck me. Did you cry when Angel died? Everyone keeps saying that they do, but my most emotional moment was when they were in the cemetary and Collins was singing to the effect of, "I can't believe our happy family will be broken apart."

Yeah, I cried when Angel died, but not because I...I dunno...missed her, but because of the outpouring of emotion of all of the others, and the thought of how many lives AIDs really claims. My favorite song? Eeek, that's hard. I really like the "when you're living in America" one, and "Rent" itself (so true) and "there's only us, there's only this etc." Forgive me for not knowing the actual names of the songs. Oh, and La Vie Boheme is happy-making

That's okay, I don't tend to remember actual names of songs either, but rather refer to them by a lyric or two. :3 We're gonna ho-oooowwl tonight~D; To be honest, people who are like, "Yeah, I don't really want to leave the US" kind of drive me crazy too...I mean, the world is so HUGE
