I keep thinking I may paint our house that color. It speaks to my Swedish roots. But first I have to decide whether I'm willing to sacrifice painting our front door a bright red gloss enamel color. 'Cause I can have one red, or the other, but the two just won't go together.
It is a great color, especially in a green place like Seattle, especially once the dark gray days of December settle in.
With the door I'm kinda going for the look you get in English and Irish town houses -- heavy gloss enamel in primary colors -- so if I paint the house red I think I'll paint the door either black, or blue. I'm leaning toward black, maybe 'cause I think a red, white, and blue house might be a little over the top.
