Looks nice. I assume that, if one had them available (we do), one could substitute (much larger quantities of) fresh oregano and basil.
On the other hand, for consumption in this household, the onions would have to go, which would probably result in a noticeably inferior product. (The banana pepper probably wouldn't go over that well, either.)
Maybe I should just head over to your place. Oh, no, you said you'd already eaten all of it, didn't you?
I removed the seeds from the banana pepper so it didn't add any heat to it, just that unique pepper flavor, and yes, you'd really notice the missing onion. (You could use onion powder instead, I suppose.)
Fresh herbs would have been really nice to have. Unfortunately I ravished my basil plant last week making linguine with basil and pine nuts for my niece and it hasn't recovered yet.
