Ok, so, I'm really convinced that  I have SADS. SADS help miamstem April 30 2008, 14:32:01 UTC
You know what help me a bit (yeah i have it really bad) is a progressive waking clock (sound lame but it did help), it slowly wakes you up with different sounds you can pick (like birds singing, thunderstorm, ocean waves, crickets etc) a warm light and any scent you want to put in the burner. That and a sunlamp made some of the gray days seem somewhat less so.

I'm glad you're feeling better. Just goes to show-most times how we feel has little to do with the practical reality and more to do with other stuff.
ALSO, I'm glad you finally gave in and made a LJ - welcome!

I've had SAD for years. In fact, every January through March I'd have issues getting out of bed in the morning and making the day "happen." My cure? I moved to SC. :p No seriously, I never did find anything that helped up North other than sun... SAD's an evil thing.

We actually do have a SAD-approved medical-grade light box, which I got after my extremely brief stint as the zombie-shift pharmacist at CVS in Woonsocket convinced me that I did indeed have SAD, and after I described my symptoms, my doc agreed.
