Random dancing is random

You might want to cover your ears, kaellite, because you were just complaining about this the other day (not that I blame you).

Sound of Music Train Station @ Yahoo! VideoThis is the second video I've come across of random dance numbers in a busy train station. Kind of answers the question I used to ask my mother when I was around 12, "what would happen ( Read more... )

Haha, a coworker showed me this. How fun would that have been to do, despite the randomosity of it!

I think it's a lovely video, but there is no way that it was a random event. There weren't enough repetitions for strangers to be able to pick up the moves that quickly. You can see it toward the end especially - when they start the wave in segments, and then the move toward the center. If it was truly random you would have had persons lingering, moving the wrong way etc.

That said, I'd love to know who it was that staged it and tell them how much I enjoyed their performance.

*tries not to laugh* Oh, my, I think I should have phrased that a little differently. I meant that it was carefully orchestrated to appear completely random. The other video I had in mind was a T-Mobile ad that took a similar approach of seemingly random people just suddenly dancing together to a song that had started playing over the loud-speaker.

It looks random... but it isn't. And a lot of work went into making it look that way!

I agree with the above comment. I think random would be if people just started dancing their own ways at the same time to music. It would look silly but be more realistic. How fun either way would be to witness in person and I love the song this time, thanks for sharing!

As I said above, I should have phrased that differently! It just looks as if a group of people came together and just decided to do the same dance at the same time.

But you're right, it would be amazingly cool to be there when it happens! Why doesn't stuff like that happen when I'm at the mall or walking through a busy airport? *laughs*
