Your character seems to be just as rebellious as one of my male friends! Sorry, I can't help being amused. Just tell him to do one thing, and he'll do the opposite, and accuse you of anything from homophobia to trying to control his life - I'm talking about my friend, not about your character. But what if you tell your character NOT to go to Europe? ;)

As for the tall dark stranger, well, let him sweat a little, a hard-won victory is sweeter!

You see, I'm talking about them as if they were real people. I can't help expecting your characters to have a life of their own.

And no, I'm not trying to actually tell you how to write, being no writer of fiction myself. Why should I try to write it, my own life is beats any fiction. *laughs*
