I'm still alive! But my Computer cought a virus and I was too lazy to go somewhere else. Now I'm at my Cousin's place.
Thanks to God, this FUCKING winter is over. Because of the wheather I missed "Tristan", "Wrther" and "Romeo & Julia", recitals like Bostridge singing "Die schöne Müllerin", Quasthoff singing different arias.....

Welcome back to livejournal, Hans! You were missed. I was not too worried, since you often disappear for a long time, but I believe this time it was much longer than usual.

I guess you missed the Folles Journées in Nantes. This year, it was "Beethoven and friends" (Salieri, Spohr, etc). I couldn't go there that weekend. Maybe next year (depending on the topic)!...

Quasthoff will sing Mozart arias (with an orchestra) tonight in Caen (65 kms away from my hometown). I don't feel like going there alone tonight, so I'll miss that concert too. :(

Anyway... Great to hear from you again. :)

I missed so many good things here in Vienna. I'm having a crazy time and I can't believe it myself.
I'd so much need vacation and France would be my first choice at the moment. When I saw pictures from la tour Eiffel etc the past days in the News (le NON francais pour la constitution europeenne) I had tears in my eyes.

I have troubles with my computer and neither the knowledge to do it myself nor the money to pay somebody to do it. I just hope you get this and I hope I don't ruin your computer with a virus.
I'm having a hard time rethinking and replaning my life since I absolutely don't want to continue with my lawstudies. How's your school? How are you?
I couldn't see the Rosenkavalier here in Vienna 2 weeks ago. Debbi Voigt sang. A friend told me she lost weight.

Wir sind aus Bremen und da du anscheinend Opern magst, wollten wir dir den Freischütz empfehlen. Die Inszenierung ist höchst amüsant und unterhaltsam, dies mal hat der Regiesseur auf allzu verrücktes Zeug verzichtet. (Natürlich relativ zu den üblichen Inzenieungen in Bremen.) Dazu ist zu sagen, dass der Gesang des holländischen Sängers zu vermeiden ist.

Danke für den Tip, aber ich hab kaum genug Zeit, in Wien alles Interessante zu besuchen. Andererseits ist der "Schreifritz" eine meiner Lieblingsopern und sie wurde in Wien schon EWIG nicht mehr aufgeführt. Wann sind denn die Aufführungstermine?
