I actually loved this episode a lot. It wasn't the best but I thought it was pretty damn good. AND NOW I LOVE DONNA. I KNEW I WOULD GET TO LIKE HER.
Omg, the part with the ood song of captivity made my eyes water.

I agree with everything you just said. But my eyes didn't water until they were free and singing in circles.

She is funny and wonderful and a perfect gateway character. She asks the questions we'd ask. She has a very sensible approach to time-travel.

(Your icon makes me sad! Ianto is not alone! And if Jack's abandoned him, I'll be very happy to replace Jack!)

I loved Martha, and Rose was alrightThing is, you've gotta look at the big picture with Companions. Rose did what needed to be done. Nine was this raw, naked, BROKEN being. She took the Doctor's hand and led him away from the Abyss that he was pretty damn close to leaping into. She showed him how to live again, she healed him, she gave him clothes. That's how we get Ten from Nine, because of Rose. If we hadn't had Rose, I believe the Master would have found the Doctor, pretended he was helping him, and actually pushed him into the Abyss. And I really, really, REALLY don't want to think about that ( ... )
