Hm. I tend to assume that if Auron/Lulu were to happen, Lulu would make the first move. She's the one with The List, and Auron seems awfully focused on the pilgrimage to the exclusion of all else

It's all about teh b00bies. I have a habit of starting out fics where the characters are attracted to each other for superficial reasons and then realize that there's something under the surface they like. So I'd start with that.

I ship both Auron/Lulu and Auron/Rikku, which is a bit weird. To do Auron/Lulu, I'd just go by process of elimination in Auron's mind. Yuna - too Braska. Would be really, really awkward to do your best friend's daughter. Too much trouble in the first place. Rikku - too young. Too reckless. Too young, less drunk version of Jecht. Too I-want-to-throttle-her-to-death-brat. Kimarhi - too not human. Tidus - see Yuna. Wakka - too Yevon. Too macho. Too hung up on Lulu. Too yeah, let's do Wakka while I think about his love interest's breasts.

I think Auron would simply be straightforward. Hey, we're stuck on this pilgrimage, you have nice boobs are attractive, do you want to relieve some frustrations so we can focus better on our mission?

I'll go with the elimination thought, and we have Lulu the only qualified candidate. (not too young and loud like Rikku, or his best friend's daughter Yuna) But I believe if they even spend some time to sit down and talk heart-heart, he might find something there. Because if you're insisting on in-game, both of them didn't seem to even have time to do some casual chatting since they were too busy babysitting the other younger guardians and their summoner.

I've been contemplating if I should change my initial plan of Lulu doing the first move in Necromantia but I think it would work no other way in the way I've set her and Auron up so far.

I could see Auron doing it but it would have to be a very unique situation me thinks.

I decided to start writing a short fic exploring the possibility of Auron bringing things up with Lulu. I'm going to post it here as I write it. I'm doing my best to avoid making Auron seem like a creepy, lecherous old wolf. :)

Heh. It's WORKING. O.o

I am highly amused at the idea that Auron would simply fall for Lulu's ginormous boobs like so many guys. You know, I blow off that attitude so often that I forget that it's pretty danged common!

The problem with Auron is that he just doesn't seem like the dating sort of person. I can imagine him responding to Lulu's overtures, because she is a tempting package and why the hell not, assuming he didn't think it was going to get in the way of their duties. (A big if.) But he's so busy being Guardian and all that I have this feeling the guys would all be sitting around camp while the gals slipped off to bathe, making lewd comments, while Auron sat on a treetrunk polishing his sword and totally oblivious.

Auron is the impulsive type if I remember Tidus comment correctly "Act first, think later". So, if he would do the first move, it would be in an 'out of character' mood (drunk, horny, depressed, ..).

But given the context of the pilgrimage and Auron's status (unsent), it's very difficult to imagine such an issue.
