OK, A FEW THINGS.

CommunityI love this show. Holy crap I love this show. It's hilarious, the actors have brilliant comedic timing and if you go in not expecting much (like I did) you will be absolutely blown away by how amazing this show is. On Durarara, because that's the only fandom on here that I actually know (or like). The easy answer is, YES, you are missing something. Parts of the novels have been translated and there are a lot of novel characters which have become incredibly popular with the fandom (Izaya's sisters, Aoba, Vorona, Chikage, etc.)

You can read the translated snippets at anni_fiesta, however, since the whole novels have not been translated, it can be a little disjointed and spoilerific, so, read at your own risk.

This, I really do not know. I hope so, and it's been immensely popular, however the same could be said for Baccano! [the other thing by this guy, note the exclamation mark] (and where's my second season of that!?).

I would say the odds are good though.

haha i ask only because i may not want to be spoiled if it is--but if not, i might have to go read the novels. >_> i'll probably end up cracking and spoiling myself anyway haha

i hear baccano's an amazing show and that i need to go watch it. xD i like the storytelling in drrr so i'm thinking i'll probably enjoy baccano. :)
