Sloane,

With things so hectic, and the students in such an awful mood as of late, I wondered if you might want to escape the castle for awhile and have a drink with me. Of course I understand if you are too busy, but if ( Read more... )

Was it possible, could Sloane Wickham actually have a potential friend within Hogwarts? With her gaze fixed on the owl, Sloane's guess was leaning towards yes, maybe...possibly. Picking up her quill, Sloane found a clean bit of parchment and wrote her reply.

Aurora,

I do believe with the lack of effort the students are turning out that I am in very much need of that night out and drink before I grade anymore papers. The Hog's Head after dinner could provide some valuable entertainment.

Count me in.

-S. Wickham

Sealing and tying the note to the owl, Sloane fed it a payment and then sent the bird on the way, somehow knowing that a chance to get out couldn't come soon enough.

The place was much busier then it has been on the rare occasions she had ventured in in the past, but blessedly less noisy then the Three Broomsticks, so she was grateful.

She pulled out the glasses she had brought along (Filius had always been adamant about it when he had spoken of the place in the past), and settled down to wait for Sloane.

When the sun had set, Sloane was aware and she shoved her things away, locking them with a charm. Slipping into her winter cloak, Sloane made sure she had her wand and within reaching distance as she started out of the castle, towards Hogsmeade ( ... )

Aurora grinned at Sloane, nodding. "That's what I thought...the Hogs Head is never this full, at least from what I remember." She looked around at all the patrons, some laughing uproariously, others whispering, huddled around their dirty tables. "Kind of makes me uneasy, to be honest."

She shook her head to clear it and grinned again. "So, what will it be? I brought the glasses."
