"Since when were you made an Auror, Mr. Senior Undersecretary?" she asked, part teasing, part undertone of congratulations. One of the things she had always respected in him was his ambition.

"Good morning Duncan." Kingsley nodded at his old friend. "Agatha." He greeted Duncan's trainee. They had only met a few times though Duncan had told him a lot about the girl. "Good morning Mr. Weasley."
Kingsley took his seat with dignity and smoothed out his robes.

For now, they were to sit tight and look presentable. And see what rubbish this new Minister was prepared to spew at them.

"Hello, Agatha - Duncan," she said, nodding at them. "And you, Mr Weasley."
She sat down and inspected her jeans - maybe she should've worn a pair that weren't quite so torn at the knees? Not that it was likely to make any difference, but still, she could picture her mother's reproachful look in her mind.

She refused to look like an idiot during this meeting, and withdrew some paper and a pen (preferring the Muggle implements) to take notes.
She tapped a foot on the floor, wondering when the new Minister would make an entrance.

Percy quickly clamped down upon his rampant memories, feeling a flush overtaking his face that had nothing to do with embarassment of any kind. This was not the time or place, even if after a night of lovemaking he still desired nothing more than to pull her close to the most immediate private place and do it all over again.
He coughed to distract himself, then went about re-organizing the quills and parchment before him, his eyes unable to resist one more look in her direction before he settled himself for the Minister's arrival.

The Minister entered the room shortly after. It had been a busy morning and this sort of meeting was rather cutting into his already packed schedule. Really, one shouldn't have to handhold and coddle trained Aurors, but then again, the meeting could possibly prove rather productiveThe Minister took a seat at the head of the table and surveyed those assembled before them. Ah, there was Shacklebolt- he was definitely a man to be watched. There was the Slytherin Auror, a rare breed to be sure, but his track record was a bit... spotty. And his trainee, no doubt ushered in to put another Slytherin on the payroll. The Metamorphmagus could have dressed like she cared for the job. And, of course, there was the Mudblood, her Muggle writing implement clutched in one hand ( ... )

"Good morning, Minister," Percy said with a tilt of his head. "I hope your morning has been quite productive thus far."

The Minister turned his attention back to the Aurors. "Now, you've all requested this meeting and here we are. What did you wish to bring to my attention?"

"Well Minister, it is not uncommon after such a dramatic change in leadership to have a meeting such as this. After all, things around here have been rather unsettled recently and if the Ministry is to run smoothly then it is important to ensure that we are all on the same sheet of parchment." Kingsley looked around at his fellow Aurors, then turned back to Thicknesse. "Many of us feel that since the previous Minister's passing there has been a breakdown of communication."
