One of my goals for today's follow-up with the LC (lactation consultant) was for Nathaniel to learn to take a bottle. I do love nursing my baby, but five weeks after a painful start (due to his tongue-tie) I'm wanting to take care of my own basic human needs (eat, nap, shower) without interruption once in a while. Bottle feeding is faster partially because they don't have to wait for a letdown; the flow is consistently "on". It takes considerably less work.

Hope he progresses enough to give you a break! It is nice to have the option now and then.

Bottle feeding is indeed a lot faster which is nice when you don't have as much time to feed baby as when you're nursing him. It sounds like you made quite a bit of progress!
