Finished a quilt... and a room!

Today I got an hour and fifteen minutes to myself. In that time I finished a rag quilt, mended a diaper cover, started two loads of laundry and emptied the dishwasher. My LC says I should be taking a nap instead! But it felt especially good to get the sewing done.

I think that has to be the cutest baby room I've ever seen!

Thank you! It was a last-minute inspiration, so I'm glad I procrastinated until it struck! Oh, and I'm so glad you found me in the dealer's room at C4 to tell me those rockets were on sale, or I wouldn't have had bought them to begin with. :)

Yay! The quilt and the room look fantastic. It's fun to see that sparkley chiffon on the completed Canopy.

Sorry I've been absent from LJ forever. Congratulations on the birth of Nathaniel. I hope all is going well.

I was thinking about you yesterday! We were sitting in the purple chair and I was trying to remember if I had it already when we put the air mattress down for you.

When I decided on a design for the canopy, I had a 1 1/4 yard of the sparkly stuff left over. Sewing Studio had a 40% off sale July 4, so I picked up that much more to create the window sheer. I'm glad I did, because having the fabric in two places ties them together. I was afraid the sparkly canopy might look out of place in the room by itself!

Have you tried the 606? Since there was a sale I bought a can, but haven't tried it.

That's great you were able to get the sparkly stuff for the window treatment. And on sale!

Nope, I have not tried the 606. Not even close to being ready to experiment on the Padme Parade gown. But at least I have it when I am ready.
