I'm sorry your turtle's sick, but I had to giggle at the McCain reference. It's so true. Turtles look like old men.

Was he able to eat with that going on?

yea, he can eat just fine. But yesterday I saw him yawn very tentatively and then rub the bump with his front leg. Poor little guy he looks uncomfortable :(
