Had a horrible nightmare last night, I've had dreams in the past where my parents have died but last night, at 24, I finally had my first dream where I died and I'd rather not have another one ( Read more... )

Wow, though I have been in mortal peril many, many times, I don't think I've ever actually died! That is crazy scary. (I can swim, but I have recurring nightmares where I wake up several miles underwater. *shudders*)

Last night, I had a very complex and detailed Doctor Who dream that involved an AU where the real Rory was gone (again), and the Doctor and Amy traveled to the AU where Rory is some sort of rich technology genius who invented the internet. (Literally.) He falls in love with normal-Amy and uses all this crazy technology to try to trap her. The last bit in the dream involved him coming through this wall-sized hologram screen as if it were a portal. Very strange. And I kind of want to adapt it into fic, but I can only remember about half of the details.

And, and though the technology of the AU was WAY advanced, everyone was dressed like it was the 1980s. Rory had a mullet and some crazy glasses. IDEK.

My brain will take an awesome, really serious, kinda scary dream and just make it ridiculous by giving people mullets or casting Scott Baio as a wizard serial killer. (Look THAT one up in the dream books!)

You can't swim? :o Wow, interesting...is that common in the UK? I guess pools might not be as big there, with the climate...hope you can learn sometime!

Sorry you had such a shitty dream...:s I don't think I've had a dream where I have actually died (I mean I wake up first), though in one I was going to be beheaded for some ridic and trivial matter and then was all "baaaah death penalty!" when I woke up...

Haven't had any notable dreams lately though....one of my best was when I met Dan Radcliffe through a mutual friend and then we got along great and became friends and solved a mystery together, lol. Damn was I sad to wake from that one!

I was taught how in first school but I was a daydreamer and had my first crush on a guy called Kavick, didn't pay attention and never learnt. I hope to in the future, I also want to be able to ride a bike in the future - never learned that one either!

Had you been watching The Tudors before that beheading dream? :P

Lol bikes...I learned, and biked a lot in the past, but haven't done it in like, five years, and I'm worried about trying again (such as to sign up for the bike share program).

And no, don't think so...:p

OMG, this dream must have been horrible, I'm sorry you've had it *hugs* I remember feeling similar way when I came home from the hospital after I broke my nose and had a recurring dream that I'll suffocate (the cast covered almost my whole face so I couldn't breathe through my nose so with asthma attacks from time to time I was really scared I won't be able to breathe). It's a horrible feeling and it's still one of my biggest fears.

But I hope you'll learn how to swim one day! I myself love to swim and I think it's great to know even just the basics to be able to e.g. play in the water in the summer or something ^^

Your dream is so much worse *hugs back* I'd have been too scared to go to sleep - I have asthma as well and that must have been dreadful for you :(

It is really strange I don't know how to swim, my mum grew up in Whitehaven on the coast and spent almost every day swimming when she was younger.

I hardly ever remember my dreams, just vague impressions. However, I've had the exact same nightmare, off and on, since I was sixteen.
I'm laying in my bed at my parents house, lights off but just enough glare from the street lights outside to pick out the furniture. There's a child standing right next to me,he's no more than four and always the same boy. He just stands there right next to my head looking at me. I'm completely terrified, to scared to move, and I don't know why...I just know that everything about him is wrong!
I dont frighten easy, I never have, and I know it sounds daft, but there's just something about that dream that leaves me twitching and paranoid for days after, something about that boys presence that sort of stays with me.
