The 2001 Monarch of the Glen soundtrack is full of great atmospheric music. Flutes and bagpipes and other scottish sounds, it's just the prettiest background music I've ever heard in a TV show. I've uploaded the entire disk for this (yes, against the rules of the community) because it's out of print and impossible to find. Sometimes you're lucky enough to see them for sale used, but they usually run anywhere from $80-$300. I bought this as an import from a UK store and it did cost me an arm and a leg, but it was worth it and I want to share it. ;) Here's a link to the
Amazon listing anyway in case you want to check out samples before downloading.
The second thing I'm sharing is from an Emmy-nominated soundtrack is full of creepy rock and orchestral themes. It's from the TV show Supernatural and it's dark and chilling and makes you shiver.
Evil Awaits gives me the shivers, and if you know the show, this is where Mary is on the stairs and first realizes something is wrong in the nursery. The second track,
Boys Break In was used in a montage of the boys breaking into an art dealers place. Christopher Lennertz's score was originally shared at the blog
Soundtrack Sharity, and is still available as a free DL over there. It's not for sale anywhere that I'm aware of, and if it is, it's probably a bootleg.
