I’m bummed that in general, I haven’t been able to find in-depth discussions of The Killing this season beyond the usual re-caps (thanks, marakara!). For all of the critical praise, the relatively small audience hasn’t produced a really juicy forum for fan blatherings. So because I have no one to geek out with about what has become my most eagerly-awaited

Have been contemplating The Killing for some time, and am glad you recommend it so highly. My current TV drugs-of-choice include The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, and as of just a few days ago, Longmire. We're all caught up to the newest Season 2 ep. Yay for Apple TV!

If you decide to check it out, I'd love to hear what you think of it, Patti. There are certain inevitable comparisons to TXF, but the narrative arc of the show focuses on just one case, so it allows for some deep exploration of a number of characters and situations - which is why it took two seasons to resolve the first mystery, much to the hysteric whining of many. But the two central cops, yeah, they've got that ineffable IT - not sexual chemistry (yet, anyway), so much as magnetism.

I've GOT to start watching Breaking Bad; probably won't catch up in time for the culmination, but everything I've heard about it is outstanding. I've got Amazon Prime ('cause they've got all of TXF and a couple other favorites), but I'm thinking I may have to add Netflix sooner or later...
