So noble, so stressed, so not-thinking-things-through. So starting to lean toward Rodney again . . .
So in for a shock. If I can only motivate myself into writing again. Good thing Mona poked at me today or this would still be languishing in revision hell.
Guys, guys... the last chapter killed me, and this one? Talk about your untenable situations -- they've stuck a hand in Heka and been bitten, and now they're about to jump in entirely. And now you've got me talking like Dan Rather and mixing my metaphors, unless Heka is a fetid pool filled with biting things. Which is actually pretty accurate, so I'm gonna stick with it. Brilliant, as always....
Will John 'let's go in an smack some sense into them' Sheppard win or Elizabeth 'let's talk this to death' Weir prevail? Will John even care about the Hekans after the next chapter? Will we ever find out exactly what Novak and Cadman smuggle in from Earth.
In fact, getting you to sound like Dan Rather is an achievement. It means we've created a believable quagmire for them to muck around in.

And poor John, it really came across how weary and exhausted s/he is. Well, the others too, but I felt worst for John.

My love for this story continues to exceed the constraints of textual rendering.

It's hella-scary. And very realistic. What comes out of your brains is awesome in its believability.
