Yay! A new part!

And poor John, it really came across how weary and exhausted s/he is. Well, the others too, but I felt worst for John.

Oh, that's a great comment. We wanted John to seem so tired and wrung out that she was just inappropriately honest.

Oh, *John*. So noble, so stressed, so not-thinking-things-through. So starting to lean toward Rodney again . . .

My love for this story continues to exceed the constraints of textual rendering.

So in for a shock. If I can only motivate myself into writing again. Good thing Mona poked at me today or this would still be languishing in revision hell.

Guys, guys... the last chapter killed me, and this one? Talk about your untenable situations -- they've stuck a hand in Heka and been bitten, and now they're about to jump in entirely. And now you've got me talking like Dan Rather and mixing my metaphors, unless Heka is a fetid pool filled with biting things. Which is actually pretty accurate, so I'm gonna stick with it. Brilliant, as always....

Will John 'let's go in an smack some sense into them' Sheppard win or Elizabeth 'let's talk this to death' Weir prevail? Will John even care about the Hekans after the next chapter? Will we ever find out exactly what Novak and Cadman smuggle in from Earth.

In fact, getting you to sound like Dan Rather is an achievement. It means we've created a believable quagmire for them to muck around in.

It's more than a believable quagmire...

It's hella-scary. And very realistic. What comes out of your brains is awesome in its believability.

I loved this addition! The sense of chaos in the jumper bay and how tense and stressed out everyone is.

Indeed. Everyone is being torn in various directions.

Plot, stress, parallels, symbols more subtle than a sledge hammer.

You two fucking rock.

We try. In this case props have to go to our betas, who pulled us up from offering a too easy solution to the whole mess.
