Stinking Rose

Tonight the family (including Mom, McGee and Quin) went out to the Stinking Rose for dinner.  Tom and I haven't been there in probably 8 or more years, so when Quin suggested it, we figured why not?  We like garlic.  No one is going to want to come within fifty feet of any of us for the next century or so, however.  Everything we ate tonight had ( Read more... )

Oh, I LOVE the stinking rose!!!!!

In terms of weaning... why is it that other people will always want to push (or suggest that the baby will push?) towards full weaning. Eating solids, even loving them, does not preclude nursing! Not at all! Remy is eating full meals most of the time now and still nursing a lot! Some toddlers will also go down to just certain times of the day, or just at night... but it is (or should be, IMO) up to the child and the mom, together, to determine their comfort! Not grandparents, not even dad!

I just find it odd, is all.

What she said! Both in terms of the Stinking Rose and weaning. I didn't understand why some of the people closest to me were so focused on when my kids would wean. If both mom and child are enjoying the nursing relationship, I don't see any reason to push weaning.

You have a great attitude about it. Tai is a lucky babe. (So is Remy!)

I agree that it's odd. Especially since the only two people in the nursing relationship are the mama and the kidlet. Of course it's also odd how I keep letting other people's opinions get to me.

It's good to know that eating solids doesn't preclude nursing. Yay!
