Due to hitting a wall and knowing that there isn't anything left we can do, it has been decided - between Mom, my brother, the doctors, and myself - that hospice is the best option

Signing the DNR for my mom was the hardest thing I'd ever done, too. Signing the order to take her off of life support: equally hard.

You seem to be handling this much better than I would be. But would also want to stay in school as a means to stay busy when there really isn't much else that I could do.
