Since the heavy duty construction has started, I've wondered where on earth Bacci is disappearing to during the day. I only see her near my desk after it all ends, appearing as if by magic.

Today was the first day I was home and awake when the building/destruction began, so I discovered where she went.

When there were roofer working at my house, the cat decided it would be best to hide at the back of my closet, which is actually closer to the roof. Not smart, the kitties. :]

This puts her at the very center and bottom of our apartment, which keeps her far away from the roof and ends. I had opened my bedroom door for her to hide in when it first started, but they then started working on my bedroom, so..

Ha @ hiding closest to it, though! They don't always have the most logical minds!

Awwww, poor Bacci! Maybe she'd like a little box with a towel she could hide in?

Though in looking around, I'm not sure I have the items to make it (I know, box. blanket. done.) and there's a small chair sitting not five feet from her hiding place with a blanket draped over it with ample hiding area underneath that she didn't want.

I'm so hoping that the construction on our building is done in a day or two.

ooh, poor kitty. My cat would probably do the same thing- she hates hearing strangers out in the hall even.

She generally attacks people more than hides, so this is a sign as to how terrified she is.

Hours later and she's still back there.

I'm laughing and feeling sorry for the cat at the same time. Hiding the head makes a certain amount of sense, though. A cat's eyes are pretty reflective, and might not be the best thing for trying to hide from giants in the dark.

She's now miraculously wedged herself behind the entertainment center. I didn't think it was a big enough space, but I was apparently mistaken.
