i keep feeling like i need to get out more, that i need to see people, expand my friend base, hang out with people that i keep promising to hang out with, but sorta never get around to (i.e. secret_ninja and oatmeal for two examples.) it seems like the only time that all of my lj friends got together in one place was when we had an impromptu lj drinkup (the drunken ( Read more... )

Crap crap crap crap crapcrapcrap KRAP! I'd do it if it werent for like the milage.

Hmmm lets see, I too face the same problem, I don't drink and never have. Its also not likely that I'll strike up an interesting conversation lately either :P My friend had been in the sand for a year a few months and she's got worlds more to day(sometimes) than I do that can get people talking.

Anywho, that same friend and I have gone bowling a few time, perhaps things like that can be fun with friends? Bowling, batting cages, ooo GOKARTS!!!

I think there is still a quest here to find the alcahol free fun zone but sitting in the park listening to someone play songs and then singing themselves silly sounds perfect!

you know, i always DID want to do gokarts!

i don't bowl due to wrist issues (though now that i'm moving furniture all of the time, it may have changed, they may be stronger now? maybe.)

Don't forget about cork balls!

Don't stress, there are tons of other things todo, personally perched infront of the TV with a nice gaming session and or movie would be the winner!

I wish we lived near by, none of my 'fun things to do' involve drinking. When I was at the art and wine festival (AHAHA well I didnt have any wine) there were so many things I saw and thought "ooh aubrey would have gotten a kick out of this"
You'd also love the egyptian museum here.

I HATE those unavoidable doom feelings. Ya know around 3 months before my cat passed away and everything got REALLY BAD, I had that feeling something awful was going to happen. *shudders* and ya know there have been a few occasions where I get this..'feeling' and the next day someone I know of (but haven't met) dies. It creeps me out when it happens.

just like the girl on the bus that was killed just a few hours after i sat next to her. why had i even noticed her? i almost never pay attention to my surroundings while i'm on the bus, i'm so engrossed with my mp3 player and trying not to get noticed ;) it just blows me away to know that i had been sitting there, thinking how pretty she was, how delicate, and she was dead 7 hours later. why had i NOTICED that she got on the bus with me? why had i noticed where she got off the bus. creepy.

ah, yes, i love doing wonderful random stuff like that! maybe one day, we WILL be able to hit random places together! weee!

You mentioned she knew the guy? Was he an ex or something?

nope, she didn't know the guy at all. he was schitzophrenic and lived within a block of my apartment complex. he had just walked down to that area with the intention of harming a female, knife stuck in his jacket. he walked into the mcdonalds and she was sitting there in the eating area on her break. just stabbed her through the heart and left. a coworker chased him down and help catch him, but she never made it to the hospital alive.

I would love to. I keep forgetting that since I'm 'involuntarily leisured' at the moment, I really *could* go up to Vancouver. And by forgetting I mean I could, but then I would have no idea what to do with myself.

I would love to go stalking around a city for a while, though -- either this one or that one.

You could play guitar, and we could both sing, and then you'd feel better, because no matter what, I will sound worse than you do.

And there are a few different movies I want to see right now. We'll manage to stay entertained.

Give me a call pretty much anytime. I'm available anytime between right now and sometime next week, when I will finally start working.

I want to hang out. But I'm 100 miles away. Boo.
And the LJ Drinkup was so not impromptu. We planned that pretty far in advance and kind of reserved the bar, dude. The lesson: FUN IS NOT SPONTANEOUS! EVERYONE GIVE UP!

I dreamt about you last night. There was a costume party and you came as a bride. You were also 7 feet tall.
