awesome trick! I haven't done anything like that in quite some time.

I think it's awesome that you're doing the AIDS walk.

i had totally PLANNED on doing the aids walk, unfortunately, when i got all the information from them, they didn't want me to actually WALK, but to participate in doing things like handing water out to the actual walkers... which would have been fine, except i needed to attend a gazillion and one orientations before hand. um, during the busiest time of the year for an office supply store? (back to school) don't think so. not to mention i'm a pedestrian and getting from vancouver WASHINGTON to portland OREGON is a lot of public transpo that i haven't figured out yet.

hooray! i miss being on my diet, how wonderful i felt, but i just cannot afford to eat healthy right now.

i'm just thankful that although i've been eating like a hoover and not getting as much exercise that i haven't ballooned back up to my 230 lbs self. i'm hoping to remain at least in the 190's.

Whee sounds like fun. And I do think working retail helped me keep my weight down. Running around a bookstore...
And they took your keys away? How come?

they got a new loss prevention district manager that feels that only bona fide managers should have keys. i understand, i suppose, but it was still a slap in the face.

now that i'm back at michaels again.. it was my first day back and all i did was climb ladders and lift heavy boxes over my head. i'm certain that extra exercise is officially back in my life now.

Yes, I remember when I started my editing job. The office was really small so everyone had keys to the main door, and I got one too. A few months later they hired three more people, who asked periodically when they'd get keys, as it was irritating to get to work to find no one with a key was there yet (and thus you had to wait out in the hallway looking like an idiot). Eventually they decided that no one else was getting keys, because the company was "growing." That meant that because I was the same position as the others, that I had to give up my key. So I know what you mean about understanding but being a slap in the face.

what was an even bigger slap in the face for my poor coworker, yancey, though.. they promoted him to supervisor with all the duties thereof... but then said that there were too many key carriers (after stringing him along for EIGHT MONTHS of "soon, soon.") so he had all the responsibility of dealing with jerk customers, but couldn't get into anything that was even remotely locked. he FINALLY got his keys after being a supervisor for a freaking YEAR.
