I'm not sure whether it says something horrible about me or about canon that my gut reaction to the last line, here, is "oh, god, the tragic foreshadowing."

canon, definitely -- that last line was entirely deliberate, and I hoped that someone would catch it.

omg. i think i stopped breathing for a second. why is it that everything works out in the end for "fictional"(used for lack of a better word.) characters?
