It's good to see more writers working with Lawson lately =) It's good to see another of the rare stories that has him in it, well done.

I like Conversation, I do so enjoy seeing malevolent Spike. That was a very good glimpse.

Thank you!

And yeah, evil!Spike was the best. I always thought the whole soul thing was sort of a cop-out on the writers' part.

I really enjoyed both of these - it's good to see Chipped Spike with a real touch of the nasty still. A sort of reworking of the tales he told Buffy but for a wider audience, and some delicious menace.

I very much liked the interaction with Lawson too - probably just as well Spike was elsewhere during most of the events of WWF. Spike's grudging sense of duty, despite his own worser instincts is well-portrayed. Agreed the Atlantic Wall probably wasn't that easy to breach, even for vampires, but it works very well and nice (in a nasty sort of way) to see the two vampires following their instincts.

I like the detailed author's notes you've given too, BTW - intriguing meta there, real food for thought.

Thank you so much -- I'm glad you liked them. (They were both pretty fun to write.)

And yeah, Lawson's always intrigued me. Given that he and Spike pretty much have to have washed up somewhere together, and that we never actually see Spike sire anyone, they probably had a pretty unique bond. I can certainly see Spike whacking Angel a good one in the head on Lawson's behalf.

Glad you liked the meta as well. I was afraid that I was rambling.

Nifty. I remember back when I first watched S4, I was very much intrigued by the Initiative, and very disappointed that it devolved into a blah Frankenstein riff by the end of the season.

Glad you liked it. I'm also with you on the devolvement issue -- Adam was the *least* interesting part of that whole storyline, as far as I was concerned.

Good to see you back!! I've missed you - and your writing. :) I loved Spike's speech. And this: "His voice darkens, smooths out into velvet death." made me shiver. In a good way. I do love me a good, evil Spike. (even when he's not so evil because of the damned chip)
