i've been following this story for a while, but i've been too lazy to comment until now. :p i'm loving it. i like the way you write, it's descriptive without being too wordy. good plot, clever use of magic, nice pacing (plot and relationship-wise). I love how you show several sides of the story, remus and sirius, the aurors- moody and kingsley are awesome-, the death eaters, it's great! i've been waiting for updates and looking for good, plotty r/s AUs from this era (post-voldemort's "death") lately, there aren't enough of those in my opinion. and i'm probably not the first to say this, but phineas's portrait is made of win. i love his snark and the affection (if one could call it that) he has for sirius.

I liked the way you described the tea; in general you tend to have interesting opening paragraphs, quickly getting the reader settled into the atmosphere of the chapter.
I also like how you work in your descriptions of people - Major Weber, for instance, could have had a round face and blue eyes, but he has a “round, good-natured face” and “tired blue eyes,” and the description of his clothing shows us he’s worried, and hasn’t had much sleep or time to himself recently ( ... )
