When he spotted the familiar face in the crowd, it took him a moment to remember where he'd seen the young man before... that's right! At the restaurant...
To be honest, though Logan had been a bit rude to him, something in Alcuin had been relieved to have a conversation with someone who wasn't enamored with him. It seemed immodest simply to think it, but it was the truth.
When he approached Logan, he saw something strange in his eyes... as if he was having trouble focusing. And he kept running into people in the crowd. Alcuin watched as someone brushed past Logan, pushing him up against the wall.
"Logan?" Alcuin offered, stumbling a little on his way, putting a hand on Logan's arm. "Are you okay?"

He knew him. At least he was pretty sure he did. He remembered something... almost. It was as if everything was just out of reach, and he gave Alcuin a confused look as he tried to work out just who he was.
"Hi," he managed finally, a flash of a memory just enough to make him speak. "Hi," he said again, as if he wasn't sure he'd spoken out loud the first time.

The words just didn't want to link together, and they rested heavily on his tongue as he struggled to spit them out. His head was spinning from the noise, and he closed his eyes again as he started over.
"I'm fine, I just... I need water or air. I dunno. Both," he said, trying not to think about how his arm was tingling under the other boy's touch. Though, to be fair, leaning against a dead tree would have felt just as amazing.
