Barbara has a chess board floating in front of her chair and her lips are pursed in concentration as she contemplates her next move. She looks completely engrossed in the game, oblivious to anyone who might be nearby. But looks can be deceiving

Will finally finished a paper he was working on and is taking a walk before going inside for dinner and smiles when he sees Barbara.

He makes sure to make some noise as he comes towards her and asks, "Which side's winning?"

"Tough to say," Barbara answers without looking up. "White has an extra rook, but black has slightly better board position."

He kneels down to get eye level with the board and contemplates the layout,

"Maybe White should castle while they still can."

Babs looks up, shooting Will a grin. "Maybe you want to play white."

Dinah leans on the wall, behind and to her right.

"I think you're gonna lose," she predicts.

"Not if you'll play with me." Take that, Dinah!

"And that is why I didn't offer to play," she counters brightly.

"Coward," Babs teases fondly.
