Cripes, my heart is beating so fast at this Battle. I honestly thought that Severus would be locked up in a room, lending his power, but he is walking with Harry. True Love does surpass all fear.
oh bloody effing hell, what an amazing chapter (aren't they all *hugs* ) but this was just *hard to describe* funny, angsty, vulnerable (Harry&Severus) optimistic, heroric, stoic, just a few of the words to describe this chapter. I wanted to cry when they all stepped forward and then Harry has to go and say He chuckled, the sound filled with nervousness, as he said, “It feels like we should be riding horses or something.”
“Potter...” Severus warned.
“No, really.” Harry gasped for air as he pushed the fear away, readying himself for what was to come. “Ours would all be white, and yours could be black. It would be named Widow Maker or Satan’s Thrall or something like that.”
I just smiled at this (big soppy grin), because he's trying to find something to make this better for all of them, plus I would go with Satan's Thrall ;)
Can't wait for the next chapter, will it be the last or are there a few more, no matter, it's going to be epic.
There are three chapters left, and I hope they'll be epic as well. : ) So glad you enjoyed Harry's little attempt at humor at the end there, and funny, angsty, vulnerable Severus and Harry are my favorite.
You just never cease to amaze me! My heart is in my throat, I have tears in my eyes and I'm just insane to read more darling. I read one paragraph and read the rest aloud. There are just sometimes one needs to hear the words and my gawds they were FANTASTIC!!
I should be doing something else entirely. In fact, I have a whole HOST os something elses to do. BUT, this story has ben pulling at my hart-strings for so long, that I have to say I'm entirely addicted to it and couldn't resisted a new chapter if I tried (which I didn't, by the way).
Since I've just realised I've probably never commented before (I have a PhD in lurking), I think I should tell you, you clear my tear tract's with every chapter. I seriously do not remember even ONE that didn't make me cry. Which tells something about how good your writing is, to keep me coming back for more even when I don't LIKE tearjerkers.
Their last night - so intense and desperate, yet so true. And Harry saying:
“Well, we had better get this over with quickly,” Harry said, his light-hearted tone a bright spot in an ocean of darkness. “Severus and I have a date.”
I didn't know whether to cry or laugh, so I did both.
