Oh, honey ... this is absolutely lovely.

You see, you kept me hanging on - even though I knew how it would end (or how Simon's part would end anyway) I kept hoping that she'd get to be happy. Which meant all the more heart-achy-ness when we get to the third time.

It's beautifully structured - really lovely (since I'm nothing but a sucker for this kind of thing!) and your language is perfect - understated and elegant.
