"You can't read me when I'm like this," she reminded him, motioning down to her diamond form. "But as a show of good faith--" She paused, shifting back into human form.

"I'm here because I'm curious, Charles," she explained. "You are the only mutant I've ever met who can rival my telepathic abilities, and I get the feeling there is a lot I can learn from you."

"Are we?" she countered, her smile wavering a bit for the first time. "Maybe I'm tired of being Shaw's pawn," Emma commented. "Go ahead, look into my mind, see the way he treats me." It would convince him once he saw the way the sexist, control freak was with her.
