"Oh, shut it," Spike shot back. "Wasn't that far off, thank you." Adjusting the lining of his jacket and wondering why everyone chose to give him grief when things got shot to hell, he looked around. He couldn't feel the energies that Illyria could, obviously, but he said nothing as he came up behind her and looked towards what should have been her final resting place.

"Fan-bloody-tastic," he remarked. "So we might actually get them back. I was about to get twitchy. Not sure if it was because I was missing Red and her bird, or if it was because I've been spending too long with the likes of you."

Before she could do much else than flash him some kind of indignant glare, if she even bothered with that much, Spike continued with, "So let's get this show on the road, yeah? What do I need to do, hold onto your hand and make sure we don't end up in the wrong time period? Because I might've dealt with everything from apocalypses to the advent of the motorcar, but I never signed up for any sort of Jurassic Park nonsense."

She did shoot him a weak glare, but it was only out of habit. She figured Spike expected some sort of reaction out of her. "You would make a poor meal for the giant dinosaur beasts. One bite of dust and ash. Very disappointing. " The words were just as distracted as the glare. Almost a poor showing of her usual snide self. She had other things on her mind ( ... )

"Little Foot should be bloody grateful for a chance to nibble on me," Spike muttered more to himself. Saying nothing else, he followed Illyria and watched as she opened up the portal. When she told him what he had to do, he eyed her skeptically. Trust that her "power" wouldn't snap shut at an inopportune time and snatch him up? Riiight.

Shielding his eyes from the sudden surge of light, Spike was suddenly less than a hundred percent behind this plan. Who knew what kind of portal Illyria just opened? Who knew if they could actually be brought back? Jokes and all of that aside, Spike didn't trust Illyria's power even back before they were forced to take it away to stop her from going nuclear.

"Oh, right, you'll be just behind me," he scoffed. Still, he turned to look at the portal resolutely. Willow and Tara were in trouble, so even if he didn't trust Illyria to fix this right off the bat, the least he could do was try for their sake, at least. And who knows? If ol' Shiva got this right, maybe he'll give her a cookie ( ... )

Illyria remained silent, focusing on controlling the portal and the power surging through her. She didn't even hear Spike. All she knew was that eventually, he followed her instructions and walked through the portal ( ... )

All woozy, that was probably the best way to describe Willow. The world was turning and not in a good soapish kinda way. She kinda wondered if she'd been hit on the head but couldn't rightly remember. Which was probably not a sign of the good. Nope. Not at all. And maybe telling Spike that she could walk wasn't an idea of the good either. She was darn well gonna try though! She didn't want to get in the way of-- whatever ( ... )

Tara was on her own two feet for less than thirty seconds when Willow was at her side. She smiled at her girlfriend, so glad to be within touching distance once again. They held hands and Tara couldn't help herself, leaning in to give the redhead a gentle "I'm here, sweetie, don't worry" type kiss. "We're almost home," she told Willow, though she was still very unsure how this was going to go ( ... )

It was much less difficult here, to slip into the time stream. The power slumbered, moved like a slow river. It was easier for her to grab it, and pull it into her waking self. There was no surge, no fluctuations. As the Illyria of this time slept, so did her power. She filled herself up, as much as the shell of her human body could handle. Illyria's form was lit in blue, heatless flame as she turned around. One last glance was offered over her shoulder to make sure everyone had followed into the Well, and was safe ( ... )

Still nudging the witches on, Spike told them, "Don't worry, 'Lyri's got this. Trust us." Realizing that the pair of them probably didn't come off as the most trustworthy heroes ever, he added, "You don't really have much of a choice, of course ( ... )
