As the title says, happy new year to everyone.  This year, my resolution is to be more active on-line, and even (gasp!) finally join Facebook (probably right before someone comes up with a new form of social media, and everyone jumps ship

I just wanted to say that I made two costuming Laurels snort cider out their noses at Birka (in the East)...I had on some LOVELY 14th century garb, but my sleeves were a present from my mother- GORGEOUS embroidery, but elasticated at the tops, and found in a bargain bin in a modern store...said Laurels came up to compliment my sleeves and i furtively showed my sleeve tops. I was expecting censure. they wanted to know where I got them :-p (that's when i said i wanted to be like you when i grow up) :D
