I went to see The Life Aquatic last night, which has provoked 2 strands of thought:

1. Owen Wilson is teh seXXors even with a horrid little toothbrush glued to his top lip.

2. If my family think they are going to survive this Christmas without getting given hand knitted Team Zissou hats they are oh so wrong.

Great movie, innit? Very odd, but I loved it.

I know. I loved the way that the slightly fake nature of Zissou's documentaries bled into the rest of the film so that you could never quite tell what was supposed to be real and what wasn't. And I really think Bill Murray is a great actor. I loved him in Lost in Translation too.

I love Bill Murray. But this Owen Wilson (I don't know anybody) is for some reason reminding me of that chap in the man from U.N.C.L.E.

Ah, David McCallum. Would it be any surprise to you that I find him yummy too? Do you perchance recall Sapphire & Steel? That used to make my teenage self nearly swoon into a conniption with every new episode :)

Hmmm...I still haven't managed to see it. I wanted to while it was in the theater and we just never got around to it.

I've also been planning on making my very own Team Zissou hat, though I haven't decided which version yet. The puffball on top one, the stoplight patch one, or the 'Z' patch one. Hmmmm.

P.S. Those bras are actually called "liquid" bras rather than gel bras, apparently - there's a Debenhams-own version which is £15, and one for £19 (can't remember the brand) that promises to increase your bust by a full cup size, which is actually quite heavy, as it contains a lot of liquid/gel!

There were pirates in that movie, right? Were they speaking a weird language? I seem to remember reading that the pirates in that movie are supposed to speak in Filipino!

Yep - they were supposedly speaking Filipino. It certainly soundd a bit wierd to me, but then my grasp of languages is limited to those of European origin :)
