It was almost a relief to be in her office, away from the boring confines of her suite. As... entertaining... as the events of the previous weekend were, Ghanima had absolutely no desire to make Elaine or Noree part of her future any time soon.

Leto stopped by in the morning. He had a feeling Ghanima would not be informing him which, if any, of the children belonged to his future. A sense he had told him that none of them did, but he could not discuss that with his sister either.

Still, he longed for her company, as much as he longed for the desert right now.

"And how is a spoil of war on a day like this?"

"Still a spoil of war, much like any other day," she laughed, peering up at him from under her piles of papers. "Although with considerably fewer accessories than she had this weekend."

"I believe will try and enjoy some quiet time this weekend," Leto replied, approaching the coffee maker, to prepare a cup each for them. He smiled at his sister.

"Make mine extra-strong?" Ghanima asked piteously. "Oh, blessed Maker, quiet. Elaine and Noree were good children, for the most part, but they clearly got their talent for chatter from their uncle."

Dinah came by for her lessons, thinking about way too many things over the last couple weeks. "Hey, Professor. No flying knives today?"

"Only the knives of thought," Ghanima quipped, waving her poor abused quill in the air. "I hid many of my blades, least Noree get any interesting ideas."

Dinah brightened as she wandered around the office, looking at the Professor's stuff. "I didn't get to meet your kids! But Jess bibbled about them all off and on while she was here." Which was more than just a little bit uncomfortable-making, mentioning her. "Um. Especially Noree and Elaine. She adores them. Adored. Whichever. My tenses get confused."

"Considering the girls tried to taunt me with paradox the same way I tend to tease Leto, I think confusion of proper tenses is permitted," Ghanima replied as she sat up, papers fluttering to the floor. "It's my understanding that Noree is the youngest of seven, which is a little bit mind-boggling from my end."
