What is Snape playing at?! *bites nails*
Oh, excellent, tense chapter. Harry has every reason to be angry and petulant, and yet has to make his decision at what his priorities are. Snape is the man for the job, and can manipulate and dominate Harry better than anyone. He wants to teach Harry to be his a killing machine. But then he basically told Harry he would not intervene if Voldemort caught him, regardless of anything else. dammit.
Harry's acquiescence was perfection. I could feel the tenseness. Bravo.

still enjoying this story immensely, still wishing I knew what the hell game Snape is playing. Good job of keeping us readers as much in the dark as Harry is, though :)

And "morally idiosyncratic" is a terribly apt way to describe this Snape (or Snape in general, for that matter) :P
